QIA Gut Health Kit with Digest Biome and Gut Repair for a 30-day day-and-night digestive support routine

How a 30-Day Gut Health Routine Works: Digestion by Day, Gut Support by Night

How a 30-Day Gut Health Routine Works: Digestion by Day, Gut Support by Night

Bloating after a heavy meal, discomfort after protein-rich food, irregular eating hours and an unpredictable gut routine often get grouped together as one problem.

But digestion does not happen in just one step.

Food first needs to be broken down. The gut microbiome has its own role. And longer-term digestive routines may benefit from a different type of nutritional support than what you take immediately after a meal.

That is the thinking behind a day + night gut routine.

Quick answer

A simple 30-day gut routine can separate post-meal digestive support from night-time gut support.

The QIA Gut Health Kit follows this structure:

First 15 nights: Take 1 Gut Repair sachet at night, while using Digest Biome daily after your heaviest meal.

After Night 15: Stop the Gut Repair sachets and continue Digest Biome daily as your everyday digestive routine.

So the first phase is more intensive, while the second phase becomes simple daily maintenance.

Why one gut supplement may not address every part of digestion

A heavy restaurant meal and your gut microbiome are related, but they are not the same thing.

When you eat protein, carbohydrates, fats, fibre or dairy, digestive enzymes participate in breaking larger food components into smaller ones that can be processed by the digestive system.

Probiotics have a different role. They are live microorganisms studied for their interaction with the intestinal environment and gut microbiota.

Then there are ingredients such as L-glutamine, Triphala, Mulethi and soluble prebiotic fibre, which are generally used for a different nutritional purpose than enzymes taken around meals.

This is why QIA Gut Health Kit is designed as two complementary products rather than putting everything into one capsule.

The day step: digestive enzymes + probiotic

Digest Biome is the daily post-meal component of the routine.

It combines:

DigeZyme®, a multi-enzyme complex containing amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase and lactase.

LactoSpore®, the probiotic strain Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856.

The idea is straightforward: take Digest Biome after your heaviest meal so the daily routine is connected to the time your digestive system is dealing with the largest food load.

This can be especially relevant for people whose normal routine includes heavy meals, protein intake, dairy, office lunches or frequent outside food.

What does research on DigeZyme® show?

DigeZyme® has been evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving people with functional dyspepsia. The study investigated the multi-enzyme complex over 60 days and reported improvements in several dyspepsia-related measures compared with placebo.

There is an important distinction, however.

The study used its own dosing schedule and population. It was a study of the ingredient, not a clinical trial of QIA Digest Biome or the complete QIA Gut Health Kit.

That distinction matters whenever branded ingredient research is discussed.

What about LactoSpore® and bloating?

LactoSpore® (Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856) has also been studied in humans.

In one randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 70 adults with functional gas and bloating were assigned either 2 billion spores per day of the probiotic or placebo for four weeks. The probiotic group showed improvement in the study's gas and bloating measures compared with placebo.

Other human studies have investigated the same strain in specific digestive populations and in healthy adults.

Again, this is ingredient-specific evidence. It should not be interpreted as proof that the complete QIA Gut Health Kit treats a digestive disorder.

The night step: Gut Repair for the first 15 nights

The second part of the routine is Gut Repair, used for the first 15 nights.

Each sachet combines ingredients such as:

L-Glutamine
Triphala
Mulethi
PHGG, a partially hydrolyzed guar gum fibre

This is intentionally separated from the post-meal Digest Biome capsule.

Rather than adding more ingredients around the same meal, the routine creates a distinct night phase.

For the first 15 nights, the structure is therefore:

Day: Digest Biome after your heaviest meal
Night: 1 Gut Repair sachet

After the fifteenth night, the sachet phase finishes.

Why is L-glutamine commonly discussed in gut-support research?

Glutamine is an amino acid used extensively by cells in the gastrointestinal tract and has been studied in relation to intestinal barrier function.

For example, a randomized placebo-controlled trial investigated glutamine in a very specific group of people with post-infectious IBS-D and increased intestinal permeability. The study reported improvements in intestinal permeability and several clinical endpoints.

However, that trial used substantially higher glutamine doses than the amount present in QIA Gut Repair and involved a defined clinical population.

It would therefore be inappropriate to assume the same outcome from a 1 g Gut Repair serving.

For QIA, L-glutamine is included as a nutritional gut-support ingredient, not as a treatment for IBS or intestinal disease.

Where do Triphala and Mulethi fit?

Triphala has a long history of use in traditional Indian digestive routines and is commonly associated with digestive regularity.

Mulethi, or Glycyrrhiza glabra, is another botanical with a history of gastrointestinal use.

A particular standardized Glycyrrhiza glabra extract has been studied in a randomized placebo-controlled trial in people with functional dyspepsia, where researchers reported improvements in symptom scores.

But botanical extracts can differ considerably in extraction method and standardization.

A clinical study on one standardized licorice extract should therefore not automatically be treated as evidence for every Mulethi ingredient or finished supplement.

This is why we prefer to separate what published research says about an ingredient from what the QIA formula itself is designed to support.

What happens after the 15-night reset?

This is the part of the routine that can otherwise become confusing.

Gut Repair is not intended to continue throughout all 30 days of the kit.

The structure is:

Nights 1–15

Take 1 Gut Repair sachet at night.

At the same time, continue Digest Biome once daily after your heaviest meal.

Days 16–30

The Gut Repair phase is complete.

Continue Digest Biome daily.

After Day 30

Digest Biome can remain part of your everyday digestive routine if it suits your diet and usage needs.

In other words:

15 nights of targeted support → daily Digest Biome maintenance.

Who is this type of gut routine designed for?

The QIA Gut Health Kit was built around common modern eating patterns rather than an idealized diet.

It may fit someone whose routine regularly includes heavy meals, protein shakes or high-protein food, office lunches, outside food, dairy-heavy meals or inconsistent eating times.

It is also designed for someone who wants a structured routine instead of deciding between a probiotic, enzyme or separate gut-support supplement every day.

It is not a laxative or a treatment for digestive disease.

Persistent or severe digestive symptoms should not simply be covered up with supplements.

Can digestive enzymes and probiotics be used together?

They perform different functions.

Digestive enzymes help break down components of food, while probiotics are microorganisms studied for their interaction with the gut environment.

That is why an enzyme + probiotic combination can make conceptual sense in a post-meal product.

The important questions are not simply whether both are present, but which enzymes, which probiotic strain, what quantities are used and whether the ingredients have been properly identified and tested.

Digest Biome uses the branded ingredients DigeZyme® and LactoSpore® rather than describing the formula simply as “enzymes + probiotic.”

Is a 30-day gut routine the same as a cleanse?

No.

The QIA Gut Health Kit is not designed around aggressive purging or repeated laxative use.

The first 15 nights create a structured Gut Repair phase, while Digest Biome continues throughout the month.

There is no requirement that a gut routine make you rush to the bathroom in order to be “working.”

For most people, a sustainable digestive routine should fit into normal eating rather than disrupt it.

What should you realistically expect?

Supplements should support a sensible routine, not compensate for every lifestyle factor.

Meal size, food quality, fibre intake, hydration, alcohol, sleep, stress and physical activity can all influence digestive comfort.

The useful question is therefore not:

“Will one supplement fix my gut?”

A better question is:

“Can I build a digestive routine that is simple enough to follow consistently?”

That is what the QIA Gut Health Kit is designed around.

Frequently Asked Questions

Digest Biome contains the protease component of DigeZyme®, which participates in protein breakdown. The product is intended for use after your heaviest meal and can fit into routines that include protein-rich food.

Does the Gut Health Kit help with bloating?

The formula is designed for digestive support, and LactoSpore® has been studied separately in adults experiencing functional gas and bloating. Individual responses vary, and QIA Gut Health Kit itself has not been clinically tested as a finished combination.

Is the QIA Gut Health Kit a laxative?

No. It is positioned as a structured digestive and gut-support routine rather than a harsh laxative or purge.

A note on clinical evidence

Some individual ingredients used across Digest Biome and Gut Repair have published human research behind them.

That does not mean the finished QIA Gut Health Kit has itself been clinically tested.

Studies may use different populations, ingredient forms, quantities and treatment durations from the QIA products.

We believe that distinction should be clear rather than hidden behind the phrase “clinically studied ingredients.”
